Thanks for the ask!
My advice on swimming is very basic.
Start slow! Don’t worry about speed at first. Just get down breathing and technique. Speed will come with practice and proper form.
My husband left early for church with the kiddos and I told him I would meet him there. I walk outside to leave and this is what I was left with to drive to church. Now, I could pull a trailer if I had to, but, parking it in our church parking lot would be a whole different story!!!!
I’ve tried calling. Of course, no answer seeing he’s at church and all. So I sit here and wait for him to notice I haven’t made it yet.
Sheesh, the things I put up with!!!!
I couldn’t not respond to this!!!
52 of the miles were done in an organized bike ride. The course was extremely challenging with lots of hills. 3 of which were extremely steep. If I had to guess, I would say, about 30-40% of the bikers got off their bikes and walked them up the hill. Rach and I were able to stay on our bikes, but by the end of each hill I felt like my heart was about to pound out if my chest!!!
I haven’t challenged my heart and lungs like that in a long time. It’s definitely not something you can simulate in a indoor cycle class!!!
52 miles done. It took 3:40 with 3 stops at aid stations. Wonderfully challenging course.
This was before it got sucky!!!
Note to self
Get to the pool before 10:45 in the morning and you won’t have to swim so fast.
Our fitness center has a kids swim team that practices at 12.
I had 3800m to swim today and an 1:15 minutes to do it. Frankly, I’m not sure I got it all done. I didn’t count laps I just swam hard for 1:15.
